Shelly LaVo, owner of Studio On 9 in Longs, South Carolina, brings over a decade of expertise, creativity, and passion to the beauty industry. Originally from Ohio and now proud to call North Myrtle Beach home, Shelly graduated from Paul Mitchell The School – Charlotte in 2014 and has been transforming looks ever since.
Known for her love of precision cuts—especially bobs and layered styles—Shelly blends artistry with technical skill to create hairstyles that perfectly suit her clients’ personalities and lifestyles. Beyond the salon, she has a passion for Runway and Editorial work, bringing high-fashion inspiration into her everyday styling.
At the heart of her craft is a genuine joy in making people look and feel beautiful, leaving her clients not just with a great style, but with confidence that shines.

I pride myself in the way I listen to the client wants, concerns, or experiences they want to share about their hair. I am originally from Massachusetts where I went to Henri's School of Hair Design and graduated in 1985. I now reside in Loris for over 30 years.
My services Men's and women's haircuts, color, retouches, perms, high and low lights, glazing, keratin smoothing treatment, roller sets, and facial waxing. People who know me know I am an early bird. Appointments before 8 AM are by appointment only.

When I said I wanted to keep my bangs long and wanted something easy to manage since I had hand surgery and wasn't able to hold a blow dryer for several months she delivered. Not only did I get a fantastic haircut but when the temps hit the mid 90s several months later, my autoimmune was flaring up, and I felt like my scalp was on fire, I was ready to shave my head i was so miserable. Cindy gave me a shorter cut which was very cute, less weight overall and made me just so much more comfortable, words can't describe how much better I felt.
